It detects known malware with its ASD, AhnLab Smart Defense, the cloud-based security intelligence system, while utilize multi-dimensional behavior based malware analysis technology to detect unknown malware and/or its variants. It not only examines behavior of the unknown file in the network with its embedded sandbox, but analyzes additional information including malicious characteristics, the risk level of the URLs or IP addresses that the file connects to, reputation information, and comprehensive behavior patterns. 

The solution also analyzes non-executable files (non-PE), including .doc and .pdf, by adopting patented “DICA (Dynamic Intelligent Content Analysis)” Technology. It also provides an immediate response including remediation or blocking the execution of the unknown files to prevent potential threat.
